Participation in Health Seminar and Exhibition
20 P G students and 2 teachers of Sociology Department participated in the two- day seminar on August 8th and 9th 2019, organised by Trikkakara Municipality, in commemoration with the 20th anniversary of the Cooperative Hospital, Trikkakara.
The seminar was basically concerned with health and food habits. Also there was an awareness section on health issues caused by our daily food habits. We were served with food made of organic vegetables and other healthy recipes which were homemade. The various sessions, which were handled by physicians and food experts, were highly informative and insightful. It provided us scientific information about the need for consuming organic food and an awareness about how our daily food habits can cause health hazards. Our students participated actively in the sessions by raising queries and substantiating their views.
