The Department of Sociology successfully conducted the Second Lecture of the Fr. John Kizhakedan Endowment National Seminar and Lecture Series on 26th October 2023 at the Melesius Hall at Sacred Hearts College . Renounced Dalit Thinker and Activist Sr. Sunny M Kapikad was the speaker of the day.
The seminar addressed the state of Democracy in contemporary India, when basic principles and pillars of democracy in India is losing it's ground and it's people denied the right to freedom of constructive political expression. The seminar had participants from students of Sociology departments of MA College and St. Teresa's College.
